My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Eric Bowman's studio last
weekend at his studio sale.
He found a Quonset hut! Already built, it was a 2,000 square foot garage that was
used for an antique car collection.
It is FABULOUS!
You can see a figure model stand on the right.
The north facing windows are 16' high and the ceiling is 20' high at the center.
He has custom bookshelves for art collection books and reference books.
You can read more about it here.
Eric started his career by being a commercial artist and did work for high profile clients like Coppertone, Nike, Hallmark, Kellogg's, Nabisco, SW Airlines, and the Kentucky Derby.
Now he does fine oil paintings and is featured at many prestigious galleries.
We saw this one and it was absolutely beautiful!
Beside the studio work, he does a lot of Plein Air. (painting outside)
He did these thumbnails outside that he takes in his studio to finish a painting.
"Beyond Winter's Veil"
He does amazing figure studies in oil on vellum paper.
Eric and his daughter. :)
