14"x 11"
"Midday"
acrylic on canvased hardboard
Painting with my left hand is getting so much easier!
I used this-
I used this-
any time I wanted even a semi-straight line. I was too wobbly and shaky before. (Not until I was making this post did I realize that I didn't use it once! :) )
An excellent artist, Terry Miura, challenged the readers of his blog to produce a piece of artwork from the same picture. You can see the results here. He said to "simplify". He showed us how he did it at the end of the challenge, here.
I don't think I simplified enough!

Bravo !
Un gros bisou à vous
Thank you Martine! Here's what she said:

Beautiful painting! I did this challenge, too, and I am impressed with your simplification. It wasn't easy .... i guess challenges never. But you did a great job with beautiful color.
You continue to AMAZE! Fantastic painting!
You did an excellent job. I really like the warm tones you brought to this city scene. Glad to see you're still painting!
Annie, this is a fantastic painting. Can't believe how far you have progressed since your stroke. So very, very proud of you and also happy for you.
love the warmth and energy you gave this painting
Annie, your painting is wonderfully alive, full of movement, excitement, and noise. You have come a long way. I've been following your blog for a while and can see that you have been working very hard. You are an inspiration to all of us. Keep up the good work.
As always, Annie... you paint better with your left hand than I have ever painted with my dominant hand...
A beautiful painting and perfect response to Terry's challenge!! YAY!!!!
Every time I think I've seen it all, you come asking with something is new and fresh and amazing, I think I will need to come up with a new definition of "courage" for you, because my current one just isn't big enough.
This is absolutely beautiful!, Color and discretion of what to leave in or out is amazing!
I love it! Beautiful citiscape - I'm so impressed with all you do!!
