Donna and Roberta, the co-owners of Art On Broadway Gallery, have encouraged me to have my first show since my stroke. They, and everybody else in the gallery is being so supportive of me!
I am honored and a little apprehensive to do it. Maybe because my paintings are with my off hand? (my left hand)
Oh well!
The show is called "Cityscapes" and the opening in Saturday, August 11, from 6-9, and goes until September 1.

Mayor Denny Doyle
enjoying 1st Friday
It's almost that time again! This month we will
have demo on making torched glass beads by Carli Kruse. Carli makes beautiful
jewelry with the glass beads she creates. Come and see how she does it, starting
at 5:30pm.
Also, we will be having another silent art auction. Many of
our artists are putting up a few pieces of their work to be sold in auction. The
items will be displayed on our West Wall and on pedestals in front of the wall.
The bidding will start on Tues. August 31st and end at 8:30pm on Fri.
A
new feature in August is a chance to win gift certificates from participating
merchants. Fill out a free raffle in each participating store and have a chance
to win. Good luck!

“Remarkable!” – that’s what everyone says who sees the latest
paintings by Annie Salness, artist and recent stroke survivor. Salness,
an accomplished artist for many years, has
tackled landscapes, interiors, and urban scenes with aplomb; her use of lights
and darks and her confident brushwork have always been evident in her work. She
made painting with her dominant right hand look easy. Now, almost 21 months
after suffering a major stroke that paralyzed her entire right side, Salness is
back on top of her game creating “remarkable”paintings with her left hand. Her
journey back to health and art hasn’t been easy, but it is remarkable, amazing,
and inspirational. “Midday” byAnnie Salness The show runs
through September 1. Gallery hours are 11 to 6, Tuesday thru Saturday. Join us
for a free and fun reception celebration! Opening Reception:
Saturday, Aug. 11, 6-9 p.m.
